HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION

• IDLH: 75 ppm

• Odor threshold: 8 ppm

• OSHA Table Z-1 Air Contaminant

• NIOSH Criteria Document : NIOSH 79-133

• Chemical protective clothing is recommended because vapor and liquid can be dermally absorbed and may contribute to systemic toxicity. A lacrimator. Irritates the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. High levels of exposure causes drowsiness and loss of consciousness. Chronic exposure causes defatting of the skin. May affect the central nervous system. Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause headache, nausea, and irritation of eyes, mouth and stomach; possible dermatitis and skin rash.

Exposure Limits:

• ACGIH TLV: 10 ppm TWA; 15 ppm STEL (skin)

• OSHA PEL: 50 ppm/200 mg/m3 TWA (skin)

• NIOSH REL: 10 ppm/40 mg/m3 TWA; 15 ppm/60 mg/m3 STEL (skin)

• DFG MAK: 10 ppm/41 mg/m3

Respirator: 75 ppm: CCROV [any chemical cartridge without organic vapor cartridge(s)] GMFOV[any airpurifying, full-facepiece respirator (gas mask) with a chin-style, front- or back-mounted acid gas canister] PAPROV [any powered, air-purifying respirator with organic vapor cartridge(s)] SA (any supplied-air respirator) SCBAF (any self-contained breathing apparatus with a full facepiece). Emergency or Planned Entry into Unknown Concentrations or IDLH Conditions SCBAF:PD,PP (any self-contained breathing apparatus that has a full facepiece and is operated in a pressure-demand or other positivepressure mode) SAF:PD,PP:ASCBA (any suppliedair respirator that has a full facepiece and is operated in a pressure-demand or other positive-pressure mode in combination with an auxiliary self-contained breathing apparatus operated in a pressure-demand or other positive-pressure  mode).

Escape: GMFOV [any airpurifying, full-facepiece respirator (gas mask) with a chin-style, front- or back-mounted organic vapor canister] SCBAE (any appropriate escape-type, selfcontained breathing apparatus). Note : Substance reported to cause eye irritation or damage; may require eye protection.

Reactivity: Forms explosive mixture with air. Strong acids (including some organic acids) or acid catalysts may cause polymerization. Strong reaction with oxidizers and acids. Incompatible with caustics, aliphatic amines, and isocyanates. Attacks some plastics, coatings, and rubber.

Flammability (Red) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   2

Reactivity (Yellow) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1

Flash Point: 167°F (75°C) (oc); 149°F (65°C) (cc)

Flammable Limits in Air: LEL 1.8%; UEL 16.3%

Autoignition Temperature: 915°F (491°C)

FIRST AID: Move victim to fresh air. Call emergency medical care. Apply artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim ingested or inhaled the substance; induce artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. In case of contact with substance, immediately flush skin or eyes with running water for at least 20 minutes. For minor skin contact, avoid spreading material on unaffected skin. Keep victim warm and quiet. Effects of exposure (inhalation, ingestion or skin contact) may be delayed. Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s).
